Spanish Main Yacht Club - A Hidden Gem on Longboat Key

Located at the northern tip of Longboat Key, Spanish Main Yacht Club is probably the best-kept secret on Longboat Key, It is a delightful Longboat Key sailing and boating community originally built in 1967-1968 of stand-alone villas that are perfect for sailboat owners because of its deep water marina.

If you've been dreaming of owning a reasonably-priced waterfront villa where you can keep your sailboat right at your dock, Spanish Main Yacht Club is probably the best kept secret on Longboat Key. Villas have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and range from about 1,000 to 1,400 sq. ft and are priced from the low-$200's to $650,000. Some are still awaiting upgrades while the more expensive units have been completely refurbished. Each has its own carport. This 55+ restricted community is pet-friendly and has a completely renovated clubhouse.

Residents of the Spanish Main Yacht Club villas get to watch dolphins and manatees romp in Sarasota Bay every day. Or, they can go sailing or fishing or just walk across Gulf of Mexico Drive to a privately-deeded access-way to gorgeous Longboat Key Beach.

Come experience the friendly Florida Sun Coast lifestyle and the boating paradise that is the Spanish Main Yacht Club on picturesque Longboat Key.

I've visited Spanish Main and showed a couple homes there. It IS a neat place and almost no one seems to know about it. That, by the way, is an added benefit. It's quiet there.
